Registration on the Site is optional, however you will need to register on the Site in order to submit a job application. Registration allows you to take advantage of more of the tools, services and resources that may assist you in finding a job. To become a Registered User you will need to submit some personal information including your email address. You may access your information at any time by clicking 'Personal settings' on 'the Site' when logged in.
WattElectricalNews may also use this information in order to customise the service we provide to you.
Subscription to the site is optional. Subscribing allows you to take advantage of more of the tools, services and resources that we have available on the site. Subscription fees are processed securely via Eway and we do not collect any personal payment details entered into your Eway account to authorise payment.
Job Alerts is an optional service available to Registered Users. WattElectricalNews requests that Registered Users provide their email address, and information relating to their employment preferences, in order that WattElectricalNews can notify Registered Users via email of jobs specific to their specified criteria. Registered Users can modify or delete their Job Mail preferences (or their Job Mail account) at any time by going to the “Job Alert” tab area of the Site.
Making an online application to a job advertisement on WattElectricalNews is a free and optional service that requires registration as a Registered User. Job applications require users to complete mandatory fields (first name, last name, phone and email) so that the Advertiser can identify and contact the applicant. Applications, including attachments and cover letters, are:
• forwarded directly on to the Advertiser or its nominated representative; or
• stored in the WattElectricalNews Advertiser Centre on behalf of the Advertiser. The WattElectricalNews Advertiser Centre allows Advertisers to easily and effectively manage their recruitment process via one central facility made available by WattElectricalNews .
Registered Users have the option of saving their resumes. This information may also be disclosed to WattElectricalNews' service providers and contractors from time to time who assist us to deliver our products and services.
By applying to a position advertised on WattElectricalNews you are requesting that WattElectricalNews pass the information to the relevant Advertiser. Any questions you have relating to a position advertised on WattElectricalNews, your online application and/or the status of your application should be directed directly to the Advertiser or their nominated agent, not WattElectricalNews . WattElectricalNews 's role in the online application process is limited to forwarding your online application to the Advertiser, and storing it on their behalf (if requested to do so).
You have the right to request your personal information directly from Advertisers on the Site.
Email communications from WattElectricalNews
WattElectricalNews also provides you with selected information about job postings, job placement and career-related topics, latest industry news and projects in email communications including our email newsletter “Weekly Wire”. This free service is sent to Registered Users. WattElectricalNews may also make Registered Users aware of additional products and services which form part of your relationship with WattElectricalNews . There is an option to 'opt-out' of receiving these emails by clicking on the UNSUBSCRIBE link contained in all email publications sent.

WattElectricalNews' Partners & Advertisers
WattElectricalNews discloses and/or makes available online applications to third parties and/or their nominees. The use of your information (personal or otherwise) by these third parties is not within the control of WattElectricalNews and we cannot accept responsibility for the conduct of these companies.
Advertisers that place job ads on WattElectricalNews, are asked by WattElectricalNews to comply with all relevant obligations relating to the use and disclosure of personal information that are outlined in the Privacy Act. WattElectricalNews cannot however guarantee compliance with these obligations on behalf of the advertising employer.
You may directly contact Advertisers to request access to any personal information that you have sent as part of an application.

These transfers are made in order to assist us to provide you with the products and services, and/or to improve the products and services we offer you.
